I consider myself more than a guitar teacher… I’m a music motivator who specializes in teaching students how to love performing music.

The Basics:

• Individual Youth Lessons are $45 per 45 minutes (ages 8-13)
• Individual Adult Lessons are $55 per 60 minutes (ages 14 and up)
• Lessons at your home are available at an additional travel fee of $2 per mile
• Group lessons of 2-5 students may be accommodated at a discounted rate (please inquire for availability)
• Cash, Checks, PayPal and Credit Cards are accepted (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express)
• Receipts are available upon request (and automatically emailed if paid by credit card)

Who I Teach

I work with both children and adults, ages 8 and up. I have been playing the guitar for over 25 years and have mentored children for church groups and non-profit organizations since 2000.

What I Teach

I specialize in teaching beginners… aspiring musicians who want to play guitar-based folk and/or folk-rock music. These are “guitar lessons” to be sure, but my emphasis is on performing music and having fun.

Students can also take what they’ve learned in their lessons and try it out in public at The Musicians Workshop, a monthly event that I host.

I personally enjoy performing acoustic folk including Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Josh Ritter, Townes Van Zandt and Bruce Springsteen, just to name a few. But I enjoy most all musical genres. As I explain further in my Teaching Approach, I’ll teach you (or the little rockers in your home) what you want to learn.

Cancellation Policy

Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice must be paid for and cannot be rescheduled unless due to illness or emergency.

• Lessons canceled with more than 24 hours notice can be rescheduled or skipped at no additional charge.
• I’m pretty flexible, so if you need a specific arrangement, I’m sure we can work something out.
