Studio Policies

Updated: January 7, 2014

Lesson Pricing: The current in-studio lesson rate is $55.00 per 45-minutes for all students. If available, lessons that take place at the student’s home is the current rate plus a travel rate of $5.00 per mile traveled. The price for private group lessons of students is the current rate plus $30.00 (per additional student). Private groups learn the same lesson together.

Lesson Scheduling: Lesson scheduling is mutually agreed upon by the instructor and the student (or the student’s parent(s) or guardian(s), if the student is a minor). It is recommended that you choose a regular and recurring lesson time, but flexibility is acceptable provided that you adhere to the Cancellation Policy. Magnolia Guitar will not reserve a specific lesson time for Lesson-by-Lesson students or “floating” students (a student without a regular and recurring lesson time–either weekly or semi-monthly), but accommodations will be made when available.

Lesson Cancellation Policy: Lessons cancelled for any reason with less than 24-hour notice is subject to the student’s current full lesson rate and cannot be rescheduled. Lessons cancelled with more than 24-hour notice can be rescheduled or skipped at no additional charge. If you are SICK, please stay home and rest. It’s best for you and me. If you require a special arrangement, just let me know as far in advance as possible and I’m sure we can work something out.

Payment Policy: For regularly scheduled students, lesson payment for the upcoming month is made, in advance, on the first lesson of the month. Students who choose to pre-pay four or more lessons at a time are eligible for the Pre-Payment Discount. Lesson-by-lesson payment is also an available option at the full current lesson rate and therefore not eligible for the discount. Lesson-by-Lesson option requires payment for 2-lesson minimum (current lesson you’re in and a hold on your next lesson). Lessons are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Cash, check, PayPal (online) and all major credit cards are accepted for your convenience.

Privacy Policy: The personal privacy of my students is of the utmost importance. Your information will never be shared or sold without your consent. Any information collected is intended to provide the students with the best learning experience possible. The information collected is also for liability purposes as well as the safety of the student and the instructor.

Photographs/Video/Audio Recordings: Any photography, audio and/or video that is taken in the studio or at a sponsored event may be used for promotional purposes. This may include lessons in the studio as well as public events, such as recitals or workshops, if the student chooses to participate. Audio recordings of lessons may be recorded as a teaching tool for review and can be provided as a digital file free of charge or on a CD for an nominal fee.

Magnolia Guitar First Lesson Guarantee: If you are not completely satisfied with your first lesson, the lesson is free. “No fee, no hard feelings.”
